Luxury Travel has several locations throughout the country. The head office is in Hanoi, with a branch office in Saigon and an operations office in Danang. All company operations are run by experienced and creative managers and guides.

The Luxury Travel team encompasses over 50 people located throughout Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and elsewhere.

Brenda Paik Sunoo – Travel Consultant

Xin Chao! My name is Brenda Paik Sunoo. I am a Korean American expat/writer/photojournalist who has been living in Hanoi since 2002. Before my arrival, my husband and I were living in Irvine , California which is very close to "Little Saigon" ( Westminster ). I remember when I first met Mr. Pham Ha. He was my first tour guide to Halong Bay . That was before he established Luxury Travel Vietnam . Anita Sach of Travel Projects works closely with RP Marketing writing newsletters and mailshots, researching the market for new client destinations and managing the database.

With her in depth knowledge of Vietnam, having lived and worked there, as well as being regularly commissioned to write online travel guides, Anita will work with RP Marketing to market Luxury Travel to the UK trade.

Anita has also visited Laos and Myanmar and is a regular visitor to Cambodia and Thailand as a tour leader and researching travel guides.

Mr. Richard Parks , Rep of Luxury Travel in UK and Ireland

Richard Parks, proprietor of RP Marketing had a thirty five year career in Airline Sales and Marketing, working for B.O.A.C., Singapore Airlines and finally Garuda Indonesia, before starting his own company twelve years ago, representing Inbound Ground Operators, Hotels, Villas and other service providers in the travel sector.

During his airline days he built up an extensive knowledge of South East Asia, and a range of contacts in all the tour operating companies, both large and small that feature the area. This knowledge has been strongly enhanced since running his own company, and he prides himself on the close and long running relationships that he has had with most of his clients.

Traditionally working via sales calls and telephone marketing, and now embracing the social networking advantages provided by Linkedin and Twitter, he feels that his company is moving with the times, and is ably assisted by sister company Travel Projects, owned by Anita Sach, who also has a wealth of specialist knowledge in Indochina.

Mr. Jason Hagberg

Jason Hagberg was raised in Chicago, Illinois and Jamestown, New York before moving to New York City to attend Columbia University.

He remained in New York to receive a degree from Cardozo Law School, where he majored in Intellectual Property and Entertainment law and writing. He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and has worked for a number of company’s and their Asian partners, including Sanrio, Disney and Warner Bros.

Jason and his better half, Julie Makinen, then moved to Hong Kong in 2009 and Jason took a new career path. He began helping Asian executives improve their English, and later began helping local websites by building, managing and writing blogs, as well as editing general website content.

He also assists with various online marketing and social media efforts for companies in Asia and the U.S. in order to continue to develop business and cultural relationships between the East and West.

Jason returned to Los Angeles in early 2011. Jason speaks basic Mandarin, as well as intermediate French (but he has not practiced in a LONG time).

Julie Makinen

Julie Makinen was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Stanford University.  After graduating, she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked at the Washington Post, before moving to Los Angeles to work for the Los Angeles Times.

She then received a Masters in Asian Studies from UCLA.   In 2009, she and Jason moved to Hong Kong as she continued her career as an editor. 

Julie returned to Los Angeles in 2011 to work for the Los Angeles Times once again, but with a desire to continue to have a personal and professional connection to many of the Asian countries she has visited.  Julie speaks fluent Japanese, as well as basic Mandarin and Spanish.

Mr. Pham Ha, Founder/CEO

As a child, Ha had always dreamed of travelling around the world. After graduating from Hanoi Teachers’ Training College and National Economics University, Ha worked as a teacher but soon wanderlust set in and he quit teaching to take a job as a tour guide, tour operator, PR, sales and marketing man.

After 12 years in the industry, Pham Manh Ha found his own business in 2004 providing luxury tours in Vietnam.

Pham Manh Ha who is determined to create the most unforgettable travel experiences for high-end tourists.
