Day 1. Arrive HCMC (D)
Warmly welcome on arrival at HCMC's Tan Son Nhat International airport. Transfer to your hotel in town. Welcome dinner at a most recommended restaurant. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 2. HCMC(B/L)
Morning private city touring of HCMC. Ho Chi Minh City , formerly known as Saigon, is the largest and busiest city in Vietnam with a population of 7 million people. Much of the daily life takes place on the streets, which are lined with shops, stalls and vendors with their wares spread out on the footpath.
Don't miss the bustling Ben Thanh Market, the moving, the War Remnants Museum , The Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. Afternoon you are free at leisure. Ho Chi Minh City with its numerous shopping malls, cinemas, discotheques and a bewildering number of bars, this evening, we'll see what the fuss is all about as we go out on the town. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 3. Mekong Delta Excursion (B/L)
The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam . It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three crops of rice per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The Delta area marks the end of a 4,500 km journey made by the Mekong River after having traveled through six countries. Traditional transportation in the Delta is by boat along a vast network of canals and channels. Boating along these canals and visiting the floating markets always proves to be a fascinating and rewarding experience for all visitors.
Leave HCMC to lush My Tho where we cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation of the canals to an orchard, where we are treated to a del icious lunch in a bonsai garden in the heart of the Mekong, complete with tropical fruits. We also visit the snake farm Dong Tam that breeds snakes for, among other things, snake wine and enjoy a bonsai garden in Trung Luong before heading back. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 4. Cao Dai Temples & Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L)
This morning we drive to Cao Dai Temples in Tay Ninh – Cao Dai Holysee Temple is the cathedral of the Cao Daism religion with the Divine Eye - official symbol of Caodaism. Cao Dai followers worship Jesus Christ, Confucius, Taoism, and Buddha. Time to observe the midday service.
Following lunch you will drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels – Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200km of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 5. Vung Tau Beach Break (B/L)
Today is a relaxing day with a day trip to Vung Tau Beach . Vung Tau was known as Cap Saint-Jacques under French occupation. It is just 125 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City . Once this seaside city was a popular beach destination for French and American service man. Vung Tau is one of the popular seaside resorts of Vietnam with sandy beaches, transparent warm blue water all the year round.
Vung Tau offers a good relaxation trip on prime beach caressed by the cool breeze from transparent warm blue waters. 07.30 am pick- up from the hotel in HCMC and drive to Vung Tau via immense rubber, cashsew nut plantation and scenic rice fields. Visit Niet Ban Tinh Xa, Nirvana Meditation Retreat and Thich Ca Phat Dai, a Buddhist Shrine, French-built Light House. We have lunch at a local sea food restaurant. Visit Giant Jesus and have swim at VungTau prime beach. Drive back to HCMC where you arrive at around 6 pm. Overnight in HCMC.
Day 6. Departure (B)
There are no activities planned for today. You enjoy your free time for shoping or personal visit until transfer to airport for your onward flight.
